An opportunity now exists for an experienced Finance Officer to join this busy finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role has a broad responsibility to support the finance team across all transactional areas of the finance team.
Due to the nature of this position, duties will vary but will encompass matters relating to assisting with accounts receivable and accounts payable, assistance with payroll data, daily, weekly and end of month processes and associated reconciliations, and assistance in supporting the general management and administration for all transactional areas.
This is a fantastic varied support role and some of the key responsibilities will include;
- Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable – invoice processing, account statements, reconciliations, payments, maintenance of files and records, stores and suppliers’ enquiries, credit card processing and reconciliations.
- End of Month processes – issue store checklists, process store financial data, prepare and process GL journals (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets), run financial reports, collate and distribute reports (soft and hard copies), other ad hoc reports and enquiries.
- Payroll – assist the payroll team as required.
- Back-up support for various tasks to cover periods of absence of other finance team members.
We are seeking an experienced accounting all-rounder with several years in a commercial environment with dedicated experience in accounting roles (including AR/AP) in medium sized businesses. If you have had exposure to payroll, general ledger journals and reconciliations, bank reconciliations and associated reporting this would be highly regarded. A long term stable role is on offer!!
Your savvy IT skills in Excel, Accounting Systems and MS Office will see you succeed in this role as will the ability to work to tight deadlines, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Coupled with your friendly professional demeanour you will be passionate about what you do and bring a calm and hardworking work ethic to this busy team.
