Chief Executive Officer
Location: Brisbane Northside
Montrose Therapy and Respite Services has been supporting Queensland children and young people with disabilities since 1932, through services that help them maximise their lives to achieve personal goals. The retiring CEO has devised and implemented a creative strategy that has seen Montrose undergo transformational change over the last 3 years, in response to the NDIS. It is well placed to continue to grow its service offering to customers.
The Board seek to appoint an experienced Executive as CEO to build on the existing strategy and platforms. A key challenge is continued revenue growth that will be achieved through a combination of innovative approaches to non-government funded sources and providing quality services in government funded areas.
The upgraded IT system will enable the CEO to make timely strategic decisions to optimise staff utilization and focus on the delivery of services that are valued by customers. Developing a strategy that will improve employee and customer engagement resulting in new lifestyle and leisure programmes being offered is a desired outcome.
A seasoned Executive who will bring a commercial mindset and empathetic personal nature will thrive here. Your career demonstrates success in leading an organisation and its employees through transformational change and an ability to drive a performance focused culture. An inspirational, inclusive leader who understands how to balance the mission of a NFP whilst achieving a financial return to fund investment for future new services is essential.

Your Talent Specialist: Peter Murphy
My 25 year professional talent identification career has seen me undertake Board, C-Suite and Executive assignments for ASX listed and privately-owned corporations, government departments and owned corporations, and small to medium sized enterprises. As a Chartered Accountant working for several of the Big four CA firms I was provided training and experience over 8 years that instilled in me a professional services mindset and work ethic. The technical knowledge and “hands on” practical experience gained across various industries, and dealings with Boards and Executives was an excellent grounding. As Chair of the Edmund Rice Foundation Australia, my understanding of what is required to be an effective Chair and Board member was enhanced. I have received industry awards recognising my contribution to the industry including The Best Recruiter in Australia and the Best Recruiter in Queensland.
