Our client is a highly successful ASX listed business that market and distribute a range of well known household brands. A recent restructure has created the opportunity for a savvy Business Analyst to provide a range of Financial, commercial and financial support to one of their key business divisions.
This role reports to the Group Financial Manager and will work closely with a range of internal teams including operations, marketing, finance, merchandising and retail. The role is diverse and will require the successful candidae to provide a range of both analytical and day to day support to this business division which is looking to grow via acquisition.
Some key role tasks include:-
Reviewing, analysing and presenting monthly insights on financial and operational performance;
Analysing costs including wages, cogs, rent and recommending improvements;
Monitoring cash flow and performance weekly and coordinating annual budgeting cycles;
Overseeing financial risk and control and raising opportunities for improvement;
Undertaking industry and competitor benchmarking and making recommendations for improved performance;
Ensuring there is consistent application of accounting policies and other operational activities eg stocktaking;
Developing business cases to support CAPEX, OPEX and acquisition activities, plus
Supporting the business with a range of other project tasks including new store set up, streamlining processes and other automation initiatives across the network.
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with 3 + years experience in a similar analytical role. You must be proactive, confident to question, raise issues and present financial information to drive outcomes.
You are also comfortable working with operations teams, able to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization and can demonstrate sound commercial awareness..
